" ... 2. Young Justice - This series has experienced quite the roller coaster since it premiered on Cartoon Network in 2010. Though the show had high ratings, it was canceled in 2013 after its second season due to low toy sales. Following the cancellation, since the show had such a large adult following, there was enormous public outcry. That only increased once the show was put on Netflix, and more and more people found it (including myself), became fans, and added their voices to the chorus of chants to bring it back. In 2016, DC announced that they would be reviving the series, but it would not be on Cartoon Network. On January 4, 2019, the show finally premiered its third season on the DC streaming service, DC Universe. This show is a great example of how having a huge adult following and the advantage of social media can save a show, even a kid's show. The show follows a team of sidekicks and young heroes who run covert missions to assist the Justice League in fighting evil. It has an incredibly complex storyline, and doesn't shy away from more adult plot points, such as who's dating who. In 2007, Cincinnati Reds Mr. Redlegs, ranked No. 10 on our list, took over for a retiring Mr. Red who first appeared on the team’s uniform in 1955 and then disappeared only to return as a full-life mascot in 1975 for a short time before going into hiding until 1997. His sidekicks include Rosie Red and Gapper. Mr. Redlegs gear was a top-seller last year thanks to Cincinnati playing host to the All-Star Game and by appearing on many products sold around it. ... "
" ... In the new season, the Justice League is fractured by politics, and this extends into the Team as well. It could be interesting to spend time with the Team - the group of young heroes and sidekicks that provide a much needed covert assist to the Justice League, and is the premise for the show - and see how the team moves forward with the new obstacles. However, we hardly spend even a moment with the Team, before moving to focus on Nightwing's extra curricular activities, as he operates separate from both the Team and the Justice League, and has done so since he left the Team two years before in the season 2 finale. ... " ... Yet there are also nods to the Filmation cartoon, as both He-man and Skeletor come with literal cartoon sidekicks. For Skeletor, it’s the space puppy Relay, that briefly gave him uncomfortable good feelings in The He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special. For He-Man, it’s Burbie, a flying elephant/bumblebee hybrid. Both sport limited articulation, with both of Burbie’s antennae on ball joints. ... "
