The skyscrapers here act as mountains and tall trees in an imaginary urban forest, the bright neon ambient lights from the billboards becoming the moonlight for Die Frau while she is in her hallucinatory, disordered mindset. The stage concept for the opera becomes quite a departure from the original scenography. ... "
