" ... Yousafzai: A hundred percent. I think that the advantages of being part of a group book club are many. On the one hand you have access to books and you are receiving suggestions and you sort of find what are your likes and dislikes and what are your preferences. I think learning in general is an important part of life. And right now we need to acknowledge that we do not know everything. We might be unaware of many issues, we might be ignorant about a specific issue, even if we have completed graduation. There are so many things I do not know about. But what I know is that I can read and I have the capacity to learn. So I think it's being open-minded about learning new things. So I think this book club gives an opportunity for us to create that sort of community, which is spreading knowledge and knowledge is a huge part of our civilization, of our culture, it's part of this human culture globally. It's not limited to one country. And I hope Literati has that global outreach base. Me, as a Muslim, reading is a huge part of Islam. It's an important part of our culture because the first word of The Quran is "Iqra," which means "Read." So The Quran started with read because it tells you to read and learn and in any culture, in any religion, you will find that people are told and people are encouraged to seek knowledge and kepe on learning. ...
